“Tamiru Tadesse Tesema owns Alo Coffee in Bensa, Sidama, and has helped produce some of the highest-scoring coffees in recent Ethiopian Cup of Excellence competitions while leading some of the country's most focused micro-lot work. This hybrid washed lot comes from his main site in Alo and is a separation of 74158, a variety released by the Jimma Agricultural Research Centre in 1979 from Metu Bishari selections. Cherries were held in sealed tanks for 96 hours, de-pulped and mechanically stripped of mucilage in place of traditional fermentation, then shade-dried to 9-10% moisture.”
