Highlights
“The green, unroasted version of Prodigal's La Estrella lot: one pound of honey-processed Geisha from La Union, Narino, Colombia. Carlos Estrella built it from cherries picked on two sub-plots of his farm, La Jacoba and El Mirador, the plots where he planted geisha and other exotic varieties as the first grower in La Union to do so. Cherries were hand-picked and mechanically pulped, fermented anaerobically for 48 hours with the mucilage intact, then dried for 20-22 days. Prodigal taste vibrant cranberry and orange with a subtle cantaloupe finish, and note the process is deliberately mild rather than funky.”
