Raw Sugar Roast was founded in Tokyo in 2019, starting as a wholesale roasted-bean business before opening its own roastery near Haneda Airport in spring 2021. It roasts on a Dutch Giesen machine and carries forward coffee culture from the early 2000s onward, drawing on long experience with coffee in Japan and abroad to build flavours the team genuinely finds delicious. It sells beans, equipment and subscriptions.
