“Las Chelis comes from Aurelio Villatoro in Huehuetenango, Guatemala, a producer with more than two decades of high placings in Guatemala's Cup of Excellence. The lot name joins the names of his wife Araceli and daughter Christa. Sweet Bloom hosted Aurelio and Christa in October, and this is the coffee they chose to share from that visit. Varietal Bourbon, washed, roasted light. In the cup it is sweet and vanilla-led on the nose, with cola and mandarin joining in, and a finish that keeps you reaching for the next cup.”
