“Falda is one of Elida Estate's named plots, growing inside Volcán Barú National Park in Chiriquí at 1,800 metres on volcanic soil. The cherries were harvested on 18 February 2026 and dried as a natural in a cold room — the CRD on the label — instead of on open beds. Substance buys direct from the Lamastus family and has now walked three of their farms, in 2024 and January 2026, crediting Wilford Lamastus for how rigorously the lots and the drying are tracked. Cupped a few hours after roasting it reads chocolate and praline with mango, apricot and orange, plus a delicate violet edge. 100 g at €55, in stock as of 7 November 2026 with a roast date of 19/10/2026.”
