Highlights
“Lot E-22 comes off Surma, one of the Gesha Village blocks in Bench Maji, western Ethiopia, where Gesha 1931 grows between 1,909 and 2,063 metres under indigenous shade on virgin-forest loam. This one is a semi-anaerobic natural: the cherries rest sealed before the bed drying, which softens the ferment without taking it over. Harvest is 2026 and the coffee is bought direct from Rachel Samuel and Adam Overton. Substance cups it a few hours after roasting: peach, apricot, strawberry and raspberry when hot; peach and strawberry with blackcurrant and rose as it warms; jasmine and red fruits when cold. 100 g at €40, in stock as of 7 November 2026 with a roast date of 02/11/2026.”
