“A clear and elegant Bourbon from Munyinya Hill, processed at Bukeye Washing Station by Long Miles Coffee. In the cup, we find the classic elegance of washed Bourbon from Burundi: bright red fruit, citrus clarity, delicate florals and a refined tea-like structure. Sweet, transparent and balanced, with a clean finish that carries the altitude and freshness of the hill. Producer: Long Miles Coffee Hill: Munyinya Washing Station: Bukeye Region: Gitega, Burundi Farmers: 232 smallholder producers Variety: Bourbon Process: Fully washed Altitude: 1,700–2,100 masl Munyinya sits in the highlands of Gitega, Burundi, at 1,700–2,100 meters above sea level. The coffee is produced by 232 smallholder farmers who deliver freshly harvested cherries to Bukeye, the first washing station built by Long Miles Coffee. Process: For this fully washed lot, cherries are floated and hand-sorted before fermentation, washing and slow drying on raised African beds. The result is a cup shaped by precision and patience — clean, structured and quietly expressive. Munyinya was one of the hills that first showed Long Miles the potential of truly traceable micro-lots in Burundi. A place of steep slopes, small farms and remarkable cup quality. A quiet, beautiful expression of Burundi.”
