Highlights
“Daterra's farms sit outside Patrocinio in the Cerrado, among the oldest coffee plantations in the Brazilian Cerrado, in a steady climate of dry winters and warm, wet summers. For this lot cherries stayed on the tree through full maturation, drying while still attached, which is only safe where harvest weather is reliably dry. Daterra was Brazil's first Rainforest Alliance farm and the first climate-friendly farm verified against the Sustainable Agriculture Network's climate module. Varieties are Catigua and Red Bourbon at 1,150 metres.”
