“Marysabel Caballero and Moises Herrera mark 30 years of partnership in coffee with this lot. La Tortuga is a name first used in 2004 for coffee from Marysabel's father Don Fabio, a nod to the tortoise and the hare. This washed SL-28 lot adapts a Kenyan variety to Honduran terroir, grown at 1,500-1,600 metres in La Paz, Marcala. Intelligentsia has been a Direct Trade partner with the family since 2003.”
