Tips & Preparation
- Goal: tasty, efficient extraction, minimal labor, short duration, drinkable temperature.
- Grind: Medium to medium-coarse (5.0 on ZP6 Special, between V60 and French Press).
- Coffee: Washed Ethiopian.
Preparation:
- Water Temperature: Use 70°C water to avoid disrupting the coffee bed with excessive carbon dioxide release.
- Variation: If the brew is too weak, pull the plunger and add 20-50g of water to percolate through.
Recipe Steps
Assemble AeroPress with paper filter, add 50g coffee then add another paper filter on top, use plunger push it down.
Pull out the plunger, The paper filter may come out, use stir to put it back on top of the ground without spacing.

Add 150g of 70°C water to soak the coffee bed and preheat it.
Put the plunger in and push it a little bit to soak the coffee bed and drain the water until the water column disappears from top of the filter.
Pull out your plunger.
Add 200g of 70°C water.(almost reached the top of the AeroPress)
