"A hybrid brewing technique using controlled percolation and immersion to create a balanced, soft-tasting iced coffee experience."

Tips & Preparation
Background and Philosophy
- Designed for the Switch brewer to create iced coffee using the Hybrid method (Percolation + Immersion).
- Aims to produce a cleaner, softer cup than standard 4:6 rapid cooling, closer to a cold brew profile but with sharper acidity.
Brewing Adjustments
- Grind: Uses approximately 18 clicks on TimeMore C2 (somewhat fine).
- Ratio: Uses 140g of hot water for 20g of coffee to compensate for immersion extraction tendencies.
- Percolation/Immersion split: 70g Percolation, 70g Immersion.
- Technique Tip: If the water does not flow through during the immersion stage, slightly adjust the dripper switch to facilitate drainage.
Variations
- Adjust the grind size to control the drip speed to finish within 3 to 3.5 minutes.
- For a more vibrant flavor, ensure thorough agitation (stirring) during the percolation phase.
