Equipment flexibility: Not strictly required; workflow can be adapted to other espresso machines.
Preparation emphasis:
- RDT (two squirts) to reduce retention
- Weber blind shaker for even distribution
- Paper filter optional, improves clarity
- Grind: Slightly finer than Allongé, but not ultra-fine
- Flow & Timing: Very fast (~15 s), 9-bar pressure
Tips:
- Funnel and light tapping help distribute grounds evenly
- Double tamp increases consistency
- Mesh puck screen improves extraction uniformity
