Tips & Preparation
- The basket can hold 10-20g of coffee, author uses 17g.
- Water should be just off boil.
- Target is 38g of espresso out with 60g water in.
- A slightly longer ratio than 2:1 is preferred.
- Spouts can cool the espresso; preheat them if used.
- The pressure gauge can be difficult to see depending on the angle.
Recipe Steps
Dose 17g of coffee into the basket and tamp.
Place dispersion screen on top of the coffee.
Pour 60g of just off boiling water into the basket.
Lock the basket into the Cafelat Robot.

Apply pressure to reach around 9 bars.
Maintain pressure until 38g of espresso is extracted.
