Tips & Preparation
- Flash brew is an iced pourover.
- Substitute some of the water weight for ice.
- Grind a little finer than normal for pourover.
- Use about 40% of water weight as ice.
- If sensitive to paper taste, rinse filter over sink or carafe and chill the carafe.
- Can scale ratio up or down using a pourover or Chemex.
Recipe Steps
Add 40% of water weight as ice (290g) to Chemex, place filter, add coffee, and retare the scale.

Start timer and pour 90g of water for bloom.

Add 100g of water.
2:00
Add another 100g of water.
3:00
Add the last 100g of water.
4:00
Pull filter and serve over ice.
