Alternative Brewing
Tips & Preparation
Keynotes:
- Target brew time is around 3 minutes.
- Finer grinds can be used without stalling, potentially increasing sweetness and strength.
- Faster brew with a lighter, cleaner finish: pour slightly higher, maintaining a column of water above the bed of coffee.
Variations:
- More body and deeper sweetness: keep that water line closer to the surface of the bed of coffee, pulse pour more frequently with smaller pores.
- Experiment with Hario Switch base for controlled immersion.
