"From Tariku Coffee Farms in the Sidama region of Ethiopia, Oromia, at 1900-2150 meters. This is the heart of Sidama, where slow-growing indigenous heirloom varieties develop remarkable clarity. Tariku Kare started as a cherry sorter at 15 and worked his way up to build his own washing stations. Today he supports hundreds of local farmers, provides employment for over 600 seasonal workers and 20 permanent staff, with strong focus on opportunities for women. Cup score: 88 points."
