"A classic Kenyan AA selection from the Gathaithi Coffee Growers Cooperative in Nyeri County, situated on the slopes of Mount Kenya at 1600m elevation. This lot comes from the main harvest (September to mid-January) and features predominantly SL28 and SL34 varieties with smaller portions of Ruiru 11 and Batian for resilience. The cooperative delivers the vibrant acidity and black-fruit character that make Nyeri coffees distinctive. Carefully washed and dried to emphasize purity of flavor, then lightly roasted for espresso to preserve high-toned aromatics and transparent sweetness. The cup opens with crisp blackberry-led acidity that settles into mango-like juiciness, finishing with delicate hibiscus florality. Maintains definition with milk, leaning toward berries-and-cream character."
