“An SL28 and SL34 peaberry lot from the Gatomboya factory, part of the Barichu Farmers Cooperative Society in Nyeri, Kenya, fully washed and grown at 1,770 metres. It is the Kenya Walnuts rate highest of everything they have roasted so far - their roaster Josef calls it his favourite Kenyan to date. The cup is juicy and bright with mandarin orange and apricot, layered over hibiscus, and it stays firmly on the citrus side rather than turning tomato-like or vegetal. Light roasted for filter and espresso.”
