“A very fun coffee, by the roaster's own description. Ombligon is a rare varietal most closely associated with Colombia's Huila department, here grown by Jailer Plazas at Finca El Silencio in Palestina at 1,550 masl. Walnuts bought the lot as washed and notes plainly that it probably is not — a lot of 'washed' Colombians are not. They kept it anyway. The result is super fruity and fragrant with tropical lilikoi and pineapple notes, yet it finishes cleanly, so even drinkers who normally reach for a washed coffee will find plenty to like. Light roasted for filter and espresso.”
