“Gatura Coffee Factory has been washing coffee in Mukurwe-ini, Nyeri since 1975. This lot is a field blend of the four cultivars that make up the modern Kenyan bench - SL28, SL34, Ruiru 11 and Batian - grown between 1,600 and 1,800 m and fully washed at the factory, which has run independently since the cooperative reorganisations of 2000 and 2004. Blackcurrant and orange give it classic Nyeri juiciness, with floral lift over honey sweetness. Filter roast, 200 g at 2,600 JPY.”
