“Our third Ethiopian coffee of the season comes from Danche station in Gedeb, one of two sites operated by SNAP Specialty Coffee in the kebele of Chelbesa. Danche was founded in 2019 to source and process cherry from farmers in the surrounding village. Around 800 smallholder producers contribute cherry to the station. This washed coffee is juicy and tea-like, complex but approachable, with layered acidity, florality, and nectar-like fruit, framed by light and crisp black tea tannins.”
