Highlights
“Hacienda Janson sits in the volcanic Chiriquí highlands around Volcán, one of the Panamanian farms that pushed fermentation and variety selection forward — Carl Axel Janson founded it in 1926 and the third generation runs it now. This Geisha is washed, but the fermentation ran cold and long: 144 hours at controlled temperature, chosen for precision rather than spectacle. It does not add an artificial signature; it shapes the texture and sharpens the aromatics, so the natural elegance of a washed Panamanian Geisha still leads. Lemon candy and white flowers first, then a silky strawberry and a rose note that lingers. 92 points, filter roast. 100 g at €54.90.”
