Highlights
“Tesfaye Bekele founded Suke Quto in the Guji highlands at 2,200 metres, and he is one of the figures of the Ethiopian industry: agronomist, and a farmer deeply committed to regenerating his land. The Kurume variety is worked as a honey here — the cherry is depulped and dries slowly with its mucilage still on, which rounds the cup and adds a rare aromatic complexity. Cane-sugar sweetness opens onto a bright pineapple acidity and a long black-tea finish. 2026 harvest, 88 points, roasted for espresso, 200 g at €13.90.”
