“This lot represents the fourth iteration of Los Magnificos, designed to ensure that small lots of higher-quality coffee from the Monkaaba group in San Agustin, Huila can still be purchased. The producers manage very small plots, often delivering tiny amounts. Diana Quinayas contributed only 32kg of parchment. Such quantities would be difficult to export alone, but rejecting them would force sale to larger buyers at lower prices with no traceability. Los Magnificos opens opportunities for smallholders, giving them a steady ground to build from while improving post-harvest processing.”
