“COTM 43 Batch 1 of 1: Roasted June 17 Funk : Fruity Recommended rest : 3 weeks Roasted by : Craig Deahl Featuring Bumbogo Farmers via Muraho Trading Co. This is another coffee by the renowned Rwandan producers, Muraho Trading Co. Gaudam and Carthick Anbalagan, the brothers that run the project, are among the most innovative producers in Rwanda. They produce some of the finest Rwandan coffees in the world, bar none. Coffee from Bumbogo is produced by smallholder farmers in Rwanda's Gakenke District, a region celebrated for some of the country's most distinguished coffees. Gakenke is known for producing many former Cup of Excellence winners, and this coffee is no exception. This Bourbon lot is carefully hand sorted, floated in order to remove low density or defective cherries, then dried on raised beds in the sun, normally taking around 30 days. The result is a balanced and fruit forward cup with mixed berry sweetness, soft milk chocolate depth, and a clean black tea finish.”
