“Eugenioides is one of the two parent species of Arabica, and until Inmaculada and the Holguin family decided to grow it commercially it was largely considered abandoned. It shot to fame at the 2021 World Barista and Brewers Cup Championships and has been a fixture of competition tables ever since, prized for being naturally low in caffeine and almost stevia-like in sweetness. Special Guests secured a small allocation from Inmaculada's 2026 harvest, grown at 1900 to 2000 metres in Colombia and processed as an anaerobic natural. Yields are tiny, so each buyer receives only a sliver of the year's output. In the cup, the team found sage, stevia and papaya: a thought-provoking, low-caffeine profile that many competitors blend with Arabica purely to add sweetness. Packed as a 24 g dose in a reusable Weber Workshops Bean Cellar.”
