“Bette Buna was founded by Hester Westerveld-Syoum and Dawit Syoum when they inherited their grandfather's farm in Taferi Kela, Sidamo. Starting in 2019, they expanded from 2 to 50 hectares and opened a second farm in Megadu, Guji. Their Coffee Campus programme trains farmers in roasting, brewing, and exporting, while their nurseries grow climate-resistant varietals to share with surrounding communities. This lot's cherries were sealed in hermetic barrels for 120 hours of anaerobic fermentation.”
