“Finca Lerida has been growing coffee in Boquete since 1917 and has passed through several owners over the century since, including a vintage hotel on the main property that has hosted guests since the farm’s founding. It is now owned and operated by the Amoruso family, and the main estate has taken 1st place at Best of Panama for a waterfall processed natural Gesha. The operation has since expanded to five farms, and this lot comes from the newest, Michela Estate in El Salto: 32 hectares at 1,600 masl, rich in native plants and animals. This washed Gesha opens with sparkling peach soda and a long florality of bergamot and jasmine through the centre, lemon and lime zest settling in as it cools and a rose note in the finish.”
