Highlights
“This lot from Familia Garcia comes from La Victoria, a small community in El Tablón de Gómez in Nariño, Colombia—an area known for its high elevations and fertile soils. Farms here are typically small, ranging from one to two hectares, and are deeply connected to both the land and the surrounding ecosystem. Today, coffee is grown alongside fruit trees like avocado, lemon, and banana, creating a diverse, shade-grown environment. Producers in La Victoria are intentional about preserving their land, protecting native forests and water sources while integrating natural practices. This lot is made up of Castilla and Colombia varieties, selectively harvested and washed. After fermenting for 15–17 hours in cement tanks, the coffee is dried on patios and raised beds over 8–12 days.”
