“Rose has bought from Ivan and Priscilla Gonzalez since 2022, and their washed Geisha is the lot they wait for all year. The geisha climbs the mountain at Bambito, just off the road to Cerro Punta in Chiriquí, to around 1,800 m, with forest wrapping the top of the plot. The cherries take a classic washed route, dried in a newly built dark room that Rose credits for the cleaner finish and more expressive cup. This is the exact lot used to win the Swiss Barista Championship.”
