“Janson Farms began in 1926 when Swedish immigrant Carl Axel Janson settled in Volcán, Chiriquí, Panama. Originally a cattle ranch, the family shifted to coffee in 1989 when Carl's sons founded Janson Coffee. This Hacienda Lot 55 Geisha Natural comes from Hacienda las Lagunas, the family's farm at 1,350-1,400 masl on the slopes of Barú Volcano in the Talamanca Mountain Range. The 2026 harvest underwent 72 hours of wet fermentation followed by 12 days of drum drying. The farm is managed in micro-lots for traceability, uses enzyme microorganisms instead of pesticides and herbicides, and runs entirely on solar power. Janson has earned multiple Best of Panama awards, consistently placing among the top lots.”
