“Teshale Heurioso is a revered coffee farmer in the micro-region of Bona Qeqe, nestled within the broader Bona region of Sidama. Renowned for his dedication and craftsmanship, Teshale has earned his place as one of the finest coffee farmers in this highland haven. At 46 years old, he is the torchbearer of a family legacy that spans generations, tending to this elevated terrain with his wife and six children by his side. Their collective efforts yield impeccable green beans, with virtually no quality wastage, boasting a remarkable 90% sieve size of 14 and above, and rapidly achieving Grade 1 quality. In 2019, Teshale realized his dream of independent coffee exporting. He now adheres to Heleph Coffee's technical protocol for harvesting and drying, producing a modest volume of 100 bags, all of Grade 1 quality, annually. Before becoming an independent exporter, Teshale was an active and trusted member of the local cooperative in Bona, where he served as treasurer for six years. His journey is a testament to the profound connection between the land, family legacy, and the pursuit of excellence in coffee farming.”
