Highlights
“Founded in 2013, Manos de Mujer is a collective of women producers within the COMSA organization in Marcala, Honduras. Each member owns and operates her own small farm, and the group was created to improve the economic stability and quality of life for women across the cooperative. Their work goes well beyond coffee — they are diversifying their land with fruit and vegetable gardens and raising livestock, all with the goal of creating year-round sustainable income. All COMSA coffees are rooted in the Finca Humana (Human Farm) philosophy: organic and biodynamic agriculture, stewardship of the land, and reinvestment into local education and community projects through Fair Trade premiums.”
