“Cosautlan (Nahuatl for 'Place of Gold') is one of the main coffee-growing communities in Veracruz, Mexico. Producers here co-plant coffee with native shade trees such as banana and ice cream bean trees. Coffee is harvested in cherry and transported by mules, trucks, or ATVs to the central collection center.”
