“Ratnagiri Estate (meaning 'Pearl Mountain') in the Bababudangiri region of India's Western Ghats has been producing coffee for over a century. Led by third-generation producer Ashok Patre, the estate is Rainforest Alliance certified and managed with organic and biodynamic principles. Coffee grows at 1,150-1,350 meters under a canopy of silver oak, pepper vines, and cardamom. The fully washed process involves 42-72 hours of fermentation and washing with fresh mountain stream water.”
