“Grown in the highlands of Shakiso in Ethiopia's renowned Guji region, this exceptional coffee is produced by Biru Bekele in partnership with more than 300 dedicated smallholder farmers. Cultivated at elevations between 1,900 and 2,100 meters, the coffee thrives in fertile volcanic soils and a cool mountain climate that encourage slow cherry maturation and exceptional cup quality. After harvest, the cherries are carefully hand-picked, depulped within hours, fermented, fully washed, and dried on raised beds for 10 to 14 days.”
