Highlights
“Aricha is a remote community in Ethiopia's Yirgacheffe region known for its heirloom varieties. This lot comes from the Aricha washing station, restored by Faysel Abdosh in 2018 after it had fallen into disrepair. Hundreds of local farmers deliver their cherries here, and after a 48-72 hour fermentation the coffee is washed and dried on raised beds, producing a clean floral profile. Profits from the station are shared with the farming community, incentivizing continued quality improvement.”
