“Santa Felisa Estate in the Acatenango Valley has been guided by the Meneses family since 1904, with siblings Anabella and Antonio carrying the legacy today. Cherries are handpicked at peak ripeness, pulped and fermented, then given a double soak, a second extended rest in clean water that strips remaining mucilage and adds clarity before the coffee dries on raised beds. The lot is Geisha, prized for floral aromatics, a tea-like body and bright, complex acidity, and the double soak pushes that profile toward precision. Proud Mary suggests drinking it black.”
