“Nahun Fernandez was one of the first producers Proud Mary worked with in Santa Barbara, Honduras - part of the small group around Pena Blanca, near Lake Yojoa, that the roaster began buying from in 2012. Back then he grew traditional varieties and only washed his coffee; in 2016 the Fernandez family and Proud Mary ran a natural-process experiment that started with a single bag of coffee and reshaped production around Las Flores. This 2026 Geisha was dried as a natural in the dark room - Proud Mary's DRD, a slow dry in a temperature- and humidity-controlled room - and is listed as a presale ahead of release.”
