“Incuti is a smallholder lot from Kayanza, one of Burundi's most celebrated coffee regions, grown around 1,900 masl beside high-altitude rainforest where coffee shares the landscape with tea, bananas and cassava. Local Bourbon cultivars are fully washed and sun-dried into a bright, delicate, tea-like cup with sparkling citrus acidity. The leader of the producer group, a previous Cup of Excellence winner, approached JNP founder Jeanine Niyonzima-Aroian; JNP has worked directly with Burundian farmers since 2012 and shares specialty coffee premiums while supporting financial literacy and education through its Dushime programme.”
