“Illubabor is one of Ethiopia's least explored growing zones, a 30 minute flight west of Addis to the zone capital Metu and then dirt roads to the washing station. Established in 2015, the station processes 300 to 400 tons a year from smallholders in the Hihud Gebeya community, keeping records by supplier and lot so each coffee stays traceable to the farms behind it.”
