Highlights
“The cup that made us say wow out loud. Chakiras are the beaded necklaces, earrings and bracelets of the indigenous people who lived on these mountains. Kotowa still finds their art buried in the soil while working the farms, and when they found this new variety, they named it after them. Chakira from Kotowa's Duncan farm in Boquete, processed natural. It is intense and syrupy: black currant like an agua fresca, then plum, and more plum. There was only 1 kg of it, so we split it into small bags to let more people taste it.”
