Highlights
“Bernard Uhe established three farms—La Noria, El Dorado, and Eliza—in the highlands of Loja Province, Ecuador, in 2016. Nestled between 1,700 and 2,275 meters above sea level, these farms are managed alongside a family with generations of coffee-growing experience from Colombia. In 2023, all three farms placed in the Top 10 of Ecuador's Cup of Excellence: La Noria won 1st place and also claimed the Taza Dorada top award, El Dorado placed 8th, and Eliza placed 10th—each with a Gesha variety. Beyond coffee, the farms practice beekeeping, cascara tea production, and cacao cultivation, pursuing organic certification while maintaining sustainable soil ecosystems through vermicomposting and responsible water management.”
