“Ronaldo Hurtado grew up on his family's farm, El Recreo, in Moniquira, Boyaca, Colombia. After a health scare, he turned to coffee and developed a passion for its flavor and value. He became a barista and eventually took over the family farm. This estate lot represents his goal of bringing the family's coffee to the next level, using the traditional cochadas fermentation method where cherries are depulped daily and fermented in bags over the course of a week before being washed and patio-dried for about 20 days.”
