Highlights
“The Gititu factory is located in Kiambu County, Kenya, approximately 47 km northwest of Nairobi on predominantly red volcanic soils. Coffee cherries are handpicked at peak ripeness by smallholder farmers and delivered to the factory for processing. The coffee is fully washed with careful sorting and pulping, then fermented for 12 to 24 hours before being thoroughly washed and transferred to raised drying beds. Drying takes 7 to 14 days with regular turning to ensure even drying and prevent defects.”
