Highlights
“Dunduga Estate was established in the 1950s and is run by third-generation planter D S Raghu and his wife Shanthala, who cultivate arabica and robusta among pepper, areca and jungle trees - jackfruit, mahogany, rosewood, mango and red and white cedar. Cherries are sorted at harvest, fermented 12 to 24 hours, washed clean and dried to a steady moisture. NAIVO's first lot from the farm is its smokiest: malt and black pepper opening onto sweet Turkish tobacco over a medium body.”
