“Gathambi Factory sits in Kirinyaga, Kenya, and belongs to the Mwirua Farmers' Cooperative Society, founded in 1954. Many of its members tend only a few hundred coffee trees each, delivering their cherries to the factory where they are sorted, pulped and graded by density before fermentation and a fresh-water soak. The washed lots are built from Batian, SL-34, Ruiru 11 and SL-28, and Monogram roasts this one as filter: a juicy Kenyan with bright fruit, plenty of sweetness and a clean, refreshing finish.”
