Mwirua Gathambi AA Espresso

“Mwirua Gathambi AA comes from the Gathambi Factory in Kirinyaga, Kenya, one of the washing stations of the Mwirua Farmers' Cooperative Society, established in 1954. Members tend small plots - many just a few hundred trees - and deliver their cherries to the factory, where they are sorted, pulped and graded by density before fermentation. The parchment is then washed, soaked in fresh water and dried slowly on raised beds for 8-14 days. Monogram roasts this espresso version of the lot from the same four-variety blend of Batian, SL-34, Ruiru 11 and SL-28.”
