Highlights
“Linarco Rodriguez and Finca Betania are part of a producers collective Tierra Diversidad in Palestina, Huila which groups 117 smallholder producers. Through Rodriguez's leadership and collective innovation, the community's production and processing was elevated. The cooperative shares a cupping lab, drying stations and a central warehouse, allowing every producer to bring out the best in each lot while maintaining full traceability. This lot of Castillo and Colombia varieties was grown at 2000 masl on Finca Betania. Cherries were hand-picked, floated in cold water, then anaerobically fermented in sealed tanks for 48 hours. They were dried on raised beds in the sun for 20-28 days and rested in GrainPro bags for 15 days to stabilize before milling. This coffee was sourced through importing partner CATA Export.”
