“Juan Alarcon grows coffee at Finca El Oso in the village of El Triunfo, within San José del Alto in northern Peru. His 1.87-hectare farm sits between 1,738 and 1,850 metres above sea level, where cooler conditions help cherries mature slowly for clarity, sweetness and lively acidity. The farm is planted with Marshell, Geisha and SL9; this release showcases the Marshell varietal. Coffee is washed and dried on raised platforms, part of an organic program on clay-based soil. Sourced through export partner Origin Coffee Lab, this is a small, traceable lot revealing the character of the farm and region.”
